Junior hurling championship match – played 11-7 16

Randals and Argideen Rangers met in the first round of the junior B hurling championship at Clonakilty on Monday evening the eleventh of July.

An entertaining, closely fought game with some great score and some near misses as advantage swung from one side to the other over the hour. Randals were first to score and went into three point lead early on. Argideen came back strongly to draw level by the twentieth minute when they went in front with a goal. It was 1-6 to 0-5 at half-time.

Points from Brian Dullea, Johnny Collins, Patrick  Crowley and Johnny Collins again, came early in the second half and it was all square again. Argideen again regained the lead with a point. Gerard Lynch replied with a pointed free after ten minutes and then Patrick Crowley got the second goal of the match on the quarter hour mark,

Three points down, Argideen came back to level matters once again.
