Randal Og 1-20    Doneraile 1-13

Randal Og and Doneraile met in Donoughmore in the second round of the county junior b hurling championship on Saturday evening last the 11th September.

There was much at stake as the losers would make their exit from the championship.

The official score at the first water break was 1-04 to 0-03 (Randal's). 

Scorers for Randal's during the opening quarter were Peter Collins, Seadhna Crowley and Kevin Dullea.

There were plenty of scores in the second quarter.

Donnacha Collins opened with two points in succession. 

Doneraile came back with one but Seadhna Crowley and Eoin O'Donovan got two more.

Then Cathal Duggan got through for the second goal of the game, Randal's first.

A dispute about the correct score saw the referee say the half time score was 1-08 a piece when in fact the correct score was 1-10 Randal's to Doneraile's 1-06.

Seadhna Crowley, Cathal Duggan and Donnacha Collins tapped over a point each.

Two points from Doneraile followed but Peter Collins sent over from a free.

Doneraile sent over another point with Seadhna & Donnacha making it 1-16 to 1-09 at the second water break.

The scores in the final quarter came from  Donnacha, Peter and Eoin.

Doneraile had the last word with a point from  a free but the full time whistle, saw them exiting the championship.
