Randal Og 2:08      Carbery Rangers 1:09

It was the meeting of Randal Og and Carbery Rangers in the second round of the Carbery Junior A Football Championship held on Sunday afternoon last in Rossmore, played in baking sunshine, it was a tough hard fought game with scores hard to come by

Rosscarbery got the first score with Conor O’Neill following with the equaliser a minute later nut Ross went three points ahead over the next twelve minutes. 

Randal’s first goal finished off by Padraig O’Sullivan levelled the game up going into the second quarter.

Points from Peter Collins and one from Kevin Dullea put Randal’s into the lead for the first time. 

Ross got a goal just before the half time whistle to leave it 1:05 to 1:04 at the break.

On resumption of play, points from Peter Collins and Gearoid White followed by a goal from Gearoid would prove to be crucial in the later stages. 

Randal’s came under pressure for periods in the final quarter as Ross came looking for scores and they got four points to make it 2:07 to 1:08

Peter Collins got a point from a free in the closing stages of injury time with Ross following with one before the full time whistle.

Next game for these lads is Saturday night 14^th August against Newcestown in Enniskeane @ 7pm
